Catching up with the kids – do some rules need rethinking?

Last week the ASA released a report on the research ACB conducted into the use of social networking sites by children. This was reported in The Guardian by Mark Sweeney. Given the results of this research,  it is now expected that the industry, as a whole,  will consider carefully how it might best target advertising given that children often play or joke about their age when using social networking sites.
